An exciting night in Lancaster, Ohio; as Premiere Wrestling Alliance brought Red, White & Bruised 2018 to the Fairfield County Fairgrounds. To start everything off, Randy “The Rowdy” Hillbilly put his PWA United States Championship on the line against Wicked Will. Randy fought with passion, determination, and in the end successfully retained his PWA United States Championship by pin-fall. Shortly after Randy’s music played, Nick Stevens and his hired help, Bjorn, stormed the arena and brutally attacked Randy. Stevens could be heard yelling “I told you this wasn’t over Randy!” Stevens and Bjorn left the ring with The Rowdy One lying motionless. Referees assisted Randy to the back with what appeared to be an injury to the rib cage.
After such a brutal beat down, the arena was in shock. However, two PWA Superstars would make their debut at Red, White, and Bruised. Jeffrey Johns went head to head against CRipton in an action packed, high flying bout. Everyone in the AAA arena could be seen on the edge of their seats. The two rookies had an amazing first match in the PWA. CRipton picked up with victory by pinning Johns.
In the second title match of evening, “The Outlaw” Tony James and “The Franchise Player” Chris Cruit placed their PWA Tag Team Championships on the line in a Three-way Elimination Tag Team match. Cruit and James went against “Mr. Center of the Earth” Jimmy Fahrenheit and his partner Chase Ryan (Team Straight Fire) and “Gorgeous” Morgan Taylor and his partner LA Cordova (Vicious and Delicious). Just a few short months ago, Taylor and Cordova lost a “Loser Wears a Dress Match” with the surprise stipulation that the loser would be forced to wear the dresses until they could win another match. Vicious and Delicious have been unsuccessful in all previous attempts. One half of the Tag Team Champions, Tony James grabs the first pin-fall to eliminate “Team Straight Fire”; leaving the Champs against “Vicious and Delicious”. Just as James was about to “Finish it!”, Cordova quickly gained the pin-fall to eliminate and beat Cruit and James to become the New PWA Tag Team Champions, which in turn allowed the pair to be free of the dresses once and for all.
Another action packed tag team bout; Juan Crazy Hillbilly and his cousin John D. Crazy Hillbilly went against the team of “The Southern
Knight” Bryan Blade and “The Irish Hitman” Lafferty. Blade and Lafferty put up a valiant effort, and gave the Crazy Hillbilly’s a run for their money. The cousins were victorious in the end. Juan and John were observed celebrating with Anita Crazy Hillbilly after their Red, White and Bruised triumph.
UFC Hall of Famer Mark Coleman, accompanied by Wes Sims, entered the ring and welcomed the guest of the evening, “Big Sexy” Kevin Nash. The AAA arena erupted in cheers as the WWE Hall of Famer made his way to the ring. Coleman and Nash were not strangers to each other, as they both toured Japan at the same time. As soon as Nash entered the ring, the newly crowned PWA Tag Team Champions, “Vicious and Delicious”, made their way to the ring. Words were exchanged and then LA Cordova found himself on the wrong end of not one, but two power-bombs by the 6 foot 10 inch giant, Wes Sims. Meanwhile, Taylor was dropped by the hands of the UFC Hall of Famer, Mark Coleman. Shortly after, Juan ran into the ring to check on the newly crowned tag team champions; Juan then notified the referee he was cashing in his “Shot at Greatness” contract on the PWA Tag Team Champions. Juan and John defeated the new PWA Tag Team Champions with ease, and left with the titles. PWA officials confirmed “Vicious and Delicious” now own the record for shortest Tag Team Title reign in company history.
The “Wepa Section” was going crazy as Cody Blaze and Forte-Rico teamed up in a 6-man elimination tag team match against the team of Bjorn, Jason Andrews, and Mastiff. The odds were not in the favor of the fan favorites, Forte-Rico and their tag team partner Cody Blaze, but they fought valiantly and beat the odds to overcome the threat posed by Bjorn, Jason Andrews and Mastiff.
Next was the main event, Champion versus Champion. The fight of the Night. United States title versus Heavyweight title; winner takes all.
Randy “The Rowdy” Hillbilly versus “Mr. 5 Star” Gary Gandy. With the brutal attack of Randy at the hands of Mr. Stevens and his hired help
Bjorn, fans were unsure if the match would happen. PWA officials weren’t sure either. Gandy made his way to the ring and demanded that
the referee start the 10 count to count out Randy. As the referee counted, the fans disappointment grew with the worry that Randy
wouldn’t be able to make it to the ring. Randy finally emerged from the curtain as the crowd erupted in cheers. Randy finally made it to
the ring. The odds were not in the favor of Randy, but he fought, and clawed, and struggled, and heroically pinned Gandy, 1..2..3 to become the new PWA Heavyweight Champion as well as to retain the PWA United States Championship.
